Trained in drawing and then graphic design, Pierre Tatin radically changed direction after ten years in the profession. In 2019, he founded Atelier ST in Paris to reconnect with a slower, more embodied approach and a sensitive material: glass. Stained glass then became a complete language for him, between composition, painting and architecture, where each piece is a visual narrative, made to last and vibrate in the light.

If the studio works on both heritage projects and contemporary creations, the common thread remains the same: working with light as a material in tension. Rigorous drawing, mastery of lead, accuracy of colour… Each stained glass window tells the story of a place, prolongs a memory, or creates a new one.

In 2023, Pierre Tatin was awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in the stained glass art category, a rare distinction that recognises his
commitment and precision. His work is distinguished by a graphic poetry in which ornamentation is decorative, but above all narrative. At Atelier ST, glass is not static: it breathes, it filters, it speaks. It is an art that balances mastery and abandonment, inviting us to look at light in a different way. •
