More than a decade after first stepping outside Sweden, Our Legacy has reopened its London flagship, now settled at 1-2 Silver Place in the heart of Soho.

Two historic shopfronts, connected only by a cellar passage below, are unified above ground by a new textile installation from longtime collaborator Akane Moriyama: a continuous band of silk and beeswax, semi-transparent, left to crease and age with time.

Inside, the ongoing conversation between Stockholm and London continues under Creative Director Cristopher Nying and longstanding architectural partner Profan — fibreglass panels drawing on Bruno Mathsson’s folding screens, solid birch staircases accented in Falu red, courtyard seating referencing Gunnar Asplund’s benches at Skogskyrkogården.

A school gymnasium floor, carried over from the space’s previous build, sits alongside zinc, glass, pine and brushed steel. Hidden beneath a skylight, Swedish artist Tobias Bradford’s Nosedive closes the loop between fashion, art and spatial experience that has long defined Our Legacy’s practice. •
