Through the careers presented, the École Boulle reveals the diversity and hybridity of the practices developed by its former students. Architects, designers, artists, and creators with cross-disciplinary practices, they embody a generation for whom the boundaries between disciplines have deliberately blurred.

They all share a common foundation: a project culture rooted in materials, attention to detail and precision of execution, inherited from the arts and crafts, which they now apply in a variety of fields. From Alexandre Echasseriau to Biehler - Graveleine to Élise Fouin, from furniture design to scenography and then interior architecture, these careers reveal an ability to bring together craftsmanship and industry, experimentation and practicality, intuition and technical rigour. Ludovic Avenel, Margaux Keller, Marion Maillaender, Nicolas Pinon and Dimitri Hlinka, Philippe Nigro, Pierre Favresse and Prune Nourry each explore, in their own way, contemporary forms of creation, ranging from mass-produced items to unique works, architectural projects and artistic commitments.

This diversity is no coincidence, but the result of a teaching approach that encourages the hybridisation of knowledge, openness to other disciplines and independent thinking. At the École Boulle, design is never conceived in a vacuum: it is rooted in the material in order to better engage with the world. These former students are living proof of this, affirming that mastery of traditional skills is less a fixed heritage than a springboard to innovative, committed and deeply contemporary practices. •
